Successful Exceptional Hardship Appeal for NHS doctor with Disqualification Being Quashed

Millicent Dooher, barrister, represented this driver before the Crown Court at his exceptional hardship appeal. The driver had previously represented himself before the Magistrates’ Court who had not found exceptional hardship following the accumulation of 12 penalty points.

Millicent was able to present the Court with the evidence of the exceptional hardship, including a statement of the driver himself. The Court, having read the written evidence, accepted that it did meet the requirements of exceptional hardship, removed the disqualification that had been suspended pending the appeal, and awarded the driver his costs- all in less than 15 minutes!
